Catbalogan City’s ‘Chatbalogan’ offers innovative talk show

CATBALOGAN CITY, Sept. 22 (PIA) — The City Government of Catbalogan has offered a Chatbalogan Program, an innovative talk show, as disclosed by Mr. Michael Tuazon, SK Federation President of the city during the September 21 episode of Laging Handa Network Briefing hosted by PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar.

“With Chatbalogan, guests are being invited to discuss on the updates of the different programs and projects of the government,” the SK Federation Chair said.

Chatbalogan is a talk show program which is not only informative but entertaining, as well.

The LGU has partnered with radio and cable television stations in the city for the simultaneous airing of the said program.

Through the different traditional media, Catbaloganons, whose areas have poor internet connection, may still keep themselves abreast of what is happening in the city.

Chatbalogan is also streamed online through its Facebook Page, Chatbalogan, which also aims to appeal the younger generation who are mostly using social media.

“The City likewise partnered with the Department of Education for the Chatbalogan Program,” Tuazon said.

In one of the Chatbalogan’s episode, Mayor Dexter Uy discussed that the city allocated funds for radio-based, television-based and modular instructions, to help the Department of Education and the students pursue learning in this time of pandemic.

As of the moment, Chatbalogan has temporarily halted the airing of its episodes due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the city but will resume once the virus is contained. (ldl/gmt/PIA-Samar)
